Why we ask you to update your listing every 90 days
Buyers and tenants need to trust that every property on PropertyNow, and on realestate.com.au and Domain through us, is genuinely available. The portals hold us to that too. The most common reason a listing goes stale is simply life getting in the way: an owner decides not to sell, or finds a tenant another way, and forgets to tell us. So we ask for one small thing: touch your listing at least once every 90 days.
This isn't a time limit. A for sale listing that you keep updated stays live until it sells, however long that takes. Rental listings still run for up to 6 months and commercial lease listings for up to 12 months, exactly as before.
What counts as an update
Any change to your listing that you save. For example:
- adding, replacing or reordering photos
- adding or updating open home times
- editing the title, description, price, status or features
- buying an upgrade
- or simply emailing support@propertynow.com.au to tell us the property is still for sale or lease
Logging in without changing anything doesn't count. The 90 days run from the day your listing was first published, or from your last update, whichever is later. If you ask our team to make a change for you, that counts as well.
What we'll send you
You won't be caught out. Before your 90 days are up we'll email a reminder to the address on your account. If the 90 days pass and we still haven't heard from you, your listing comes down from our site and the portals, and we email you again to let you know.
Missed it? It's an easy fix
If the property is still on the market, email support@propertynow.com.au within 30 days of the expiry email and confirm it's still genuinely for sale or lease on the advertised terms. We'll put it straight back up, free of charge, and a fresh 90 days starts from that day. See My listing has expired, how do I get it back?.
