Why is there a 1300 number on my ad?
When you list your property with PropertyNow, you may notice that your personal mobile number is not displayed directly on the advertisement. Instead, the portals show our dedicated 1300 enquiry number. There are two primary reasons for this: Portal Compliance and Lead Automation.
1. Portal Compliance (REA & Domain)
Major real estate portals like Realestate.com.au and Domain have strict "Acceptable Use" policies. These policies explicitly state that advertisements must refer only to the licensed agency hosting the ad.
- The Rule: Including a private seller's phone number or mentioning "Private Sale" in the ad text is prohibited.
- The Risk: Listings that bypass this rule are often flagged or removed by the portals. By using our 1300 number, your ad remains 100% compliant and protected from deletion.
2. How the 1300 System Works
Our phone system is fully automated and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring you never miss a lead even if you are unavailable.
- The Call: A potential buyer calls the 1300 number shown on the ad.
- The Code: They are prompted to enter the unique 4-digit enquiry code (which we automatically place in your listing description).
- The Connection: The system instantly provides the caller with your name and contact details so they can call you directly.
- The Notification: At the same moment, you receive an email notification of the enquiry, and the lead's details are stored in your PropertyNow account.
The Benefits of This System
- Privacy: Your personal mobile number isn't "scraped" by marketing bots or spam callers.
- Accessibility: Buyers get your details at 11:00 PM on a Sunday without having to wait for a receptionist to open on Monday morning.
- Organization: You have a digital paper trail of every person who has expressed interest in your property, accessible anytime via your dashboard.
