One of the most frequent questions we receive is why a seller's private contact details cannot be written directly into the property description or shown on the main "contact" section of the portals.

While we would be more than happy to display your number, we must adhere to the strict Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies of third-party portals like Realestate.com.au and Domain.

The Portal Rules (REA & Domain)

The major real estate portals in Australia require that all advertisements refer only to the licensed real estate office that is a subscribing member of their site.

Specifically, Realestate.com.au Acceptable Use Policy (Section 4.1.26) states:

"Advertisements must only refer a viewer to the Real Estate Office of a licensed real estate agent... Publishing advertisements that contain a reference to a third party (for example, the Vendor/Owner) is strictly prohibited."

The Risk: If a listing is found to contain a private phone number or mentions "Private Sale," the portals may permanently delete the listing and, in some cases, ban the agency responsible. To keep your listing safe and active, we ensure all contact details are compliant with these rules.
