Private sellers often finish in front financially by avoiding large commissions and inflated marketing costs. Without those expenses, you've also got more room to price competitively if you need to — which puts your property in a stronger position, especially in a buyer's market.

You'll still be represented by a solicitor or conveyancer for the legal side — they draw up the contract and handle settlement, exactly as they would in an agent-led sale.
