Do I need a contract of sale before listing?

PropertyNow does not require you to upload a contract of sale before you complete or pay for your listing. You can build your listing now and choose to send it live later.

However, you are responsible for having any documents your state or territory requires before the property is advertised.

• NSW and ACT: a contract of sale must be prepared before the property is offered or advertised for sale.
• South Australia: the relevant disclosure document is the Form 1 vendor's statement — not a section 32. Your conveyancer or solicitor can prepare it and advise when it must be provided.
• Other states and territories: requirements and timing vary, so confirm the process with your conveyancer or solicitor.

If your contract or disclosure documents aren't ready yet, that won't stop you setting up or paying for your PropertyNow listing. Simply choose to hold the listing until you're ready to advertise.
