Articles on: Managing my account and listings

How do I mark my ad as under offer or under contract?

When you’ve found a buyer, you’ll want to update your listing status immediately to let others know. However, because different websites (like Realestate.com.au and Domain) use different terminology, the process can sometimes be confusing.

The Difference: Under Offer vs. Under Contract

There is no "standard" industry term used by all portals.

  • Realestate.com.au (REA): Uses the term "Under Contract."
  • Domain: Uses the term "Under Offer."

Because PropertyNow syncs to both sites simultaneously, our system provides a single update tool that covers both.

How to Update Your Status

To change your listing to Under Offer/Contract, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to yourPropertyNow Dashboard.
  2. Click "My Account" in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Manage property and edit listings."
  4. Find your property and click the "Update Status" button (located next to the 'Edit' option).
  5. Select Under Contract/Under Offer from the dropdown menu.

Once you click save, our system will automatically push the correct terminology to each respective portal.
