Can I use PropertyNow to manage my existing tenancy?

Yes — and you don't need to tear up the paperwork to do it.

Getting started

Add the property from your dashboard and, when we ask what you'd like to do with it, choose Manage an existing tenancy. You'll skip the listing steps and land on the Rental Management page for that property, where you can subscribe. Once you're subscribed, your rental management dashboard shows a Pre Tenancy Checklist: upload proof of ownership and your photo ID (both are verified by our team before an agreement can be created), upload your existing agreement, and link the bank account your rent will be paid into.

If the property is already in your account, see How do I subscribe to rental management?.

To onboard an existing tenancy, simply upload the current signed tenancy agreement to PropertyNow. There's no need to create a new lease or ask your tenant to re-sign anything just to start using our rental management tools.

Once the agreement is uploaded, invite your tenant, have them set up their payment method in their tenant portal, and your management toolkit — rent collection, condition reports and the rest — runs as normal.

When the tenancy comes up for renewal, or you and your tenant agree on new terms, you can create and sign a fresh digital agreement on the platform at that point. Quick Renew (the popup on your tenancy dashboard) isn't available for uploaded agreements, so get in touch and we'll help you set the new agreement up. Once you have an agreement created on PropertyNow, future renewals can be done in a few clicks — see How do I renew a tenancy or update the agreement?.
