What information do I need to provide for a tenant check?
To perform a professional tenancy database check (TICA/NTD), we require specific details and legal authorization. To ensure the fastest possible result, we strongly recommend submitting these details directly through your PropertyNow dashboard rather than via email.
The Faster Option: Submit via Your Dashboard
Submitting your check through the website ensures that all required fields are captured immediately, reducing the need for back-and-forth emails.
- Log in to yourPropertyNow Account.
- Select 'Tenant Checks' from the left-hand menu.
- Follow the prompts to enter the tenant’s details and upload their ID.
- Turnaround: Dashboard submissions are prioritized and typically processed within 24 business hours.
What Information is Required?
Regardless of how you submit the check, our team requires the following information for each individual being checked:
1. Personal Details:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth and Gender
- Contact number and Email address
- Current residential address
- The address of the property they are applying for
2. Proof of Identity (At least one of the following):
- Option A: Driver’s License Number and License Card Number.
- Option B: Passport Number and Country of Issue.
- Option C: Medicare Card Number, Individual Reference Number (the number next to their name), and Expiry Date.
3. Signed Tenant Authority (Mandatory) Performing a tenancy check without written consent is a breach of privacy law. You must provide a signed document from the tenant authorizing the check.

- Note: If you use 2Apply for your applications, the signed authority is usually included in their application digital file.
Important Submission Guidelines
- One Check per Person: If two people are applying together, you must provide the above details for both individuals.
- Manual Submissions: If you are unable to use the dashboard and choose to reply via email, please do not send attachments or photos of handwritten notes. Please type the details directly into your email reply to ensure there are no errors in transcription.
