Can I create a lease agreement but not use PropertyNow to manage my rental?

Yes. While you're subscribed to Rental Management you can create and sign your tenancy agreement through PropertyNow, and then collect rent yourself rather than through us.

The agreement will list 'direct debit' as the agreed method of payment. If you'd rather take rent directly, use Switch to Payments Off Platform — you'll find it on your Scheduled Payments page and on your tenancy dashboard. This stops us processing rent, but keeps your records intact: each transaction stays in your account, and when your tenant pays you, you mark it as paid. That generates the rent receipt and keeps your ledger and end-of-year reports accurate.

Please note: this change is currently one-way. There's no way to switch back to on-platform payments yourself — get in touch if you need to.
