# How do I mark my property as leased?

### When should I mark it as leased?

Mark your property as leased once you've accepted a tenant — generally when they've signed the tenancy agreement and paid their bond or rent in advance. You're welcome to mark it earlier if you'd like to take it off the market sooner.

### How to do it

Just click **Change Status** on your listing as soon as you log in, then choose **Mark leased**. You'll be asked to confirm your decision, and whether you'd like to keep a copy of your listing on file for easy relisting down the track.

Once confirmed, your listing comes down from all websites, and we automatically email everyone who enquired to let them know the property is no longer available — saving you a stack of awkward follow-ups. (The successful tenant doesn't get that email, of course.)

### Found a tenant before your next open home?

You've got two options:

* **Mark it as leased** (as above). Everyone who enquired is emailed automatically, and the 30-day guarantee below still covers you if it falls through.
* **Not quite certain yet?** Edit your listing heading to start with "Under application", and remove the open home from the **Inspections** tab.

Either way, let anyone who has booked in to the open home know it's cancelled, so no one makes a wasted trip.
