# Can I do my own conveyancing?

Legally, in most states, yes. **We don't recommend it.**

A DIY kit is cheap, but conveyancing is where a sale goes wrong — a missed disclosure, a wrong date, a clause that doesn't protect you. The cost of an error is usually far more than a professional's fee, and it can collapse the sale.
